Baramulla: Protests continue over youth’s killing, Locals refuse to bury the body

Laisar (Baramulla, Kashmir Indian control) 11 Feb: Protests over killing of a youth, Ashiq Hussain, continued to rock this north Kashmir village in Rafiabad area on Saturday.
Hussain, according to locals, was killed allegedly by soldiers last night. As the word about the killing spread locals took to the streets and staged night long protest.
Locals have placed the body of the deceased youth on Baramulla-Kupwara road and have refused to bury his body. They are demanding the arrest of the army soldiers allegedly involved in the killing and removal of the army camp in their area.
Minister of State for Home, Nasir Aslam Wani, MLa Langate, Er Rasheed, Director General of Police (DGP) Kuldeep Khoda and other top officials are camping in the area and are trying to pacify the protesters.
Since morning Policemen have resorted to baton charge and teargas shelling to disperse the protesters, but they have not relented.
