Islamabad, 11 Feb, 2012: Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has paid glowing tribute to Muhammad Maqbool Butt on his 28th martyrdom, who was hanged by India on 11 February, 1984 for his steadfast role in the freedom movement of Kashmir.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said that the martyred leader added a new chapter to the history of freedom struggle never to be forgotten by his countrymen adding that his hanging was a judicial murder–an uglyuh scar left on the judicial history of India. He said, “The Kashmiris have rendered unprecedented sacrifices for freedom and they will never rest till they achieve the right of self-determination as promised by India and Pakistan and guaranteed by the United Nations in its numerous resolutions and Security Council debates.
